New Student Support Services

New support services are now available to students. The OLS Student Labs and Learning Skills Community are great places for students to ask questions, and find the information they need to be successful.

In OLS, after logging into the eCampus, students will find us under the Library Tab under Student Labs. We have three labs that focus on student success: Critical Thinking Skills, Study Skills, and Student Success Tools. The other place is under the "PhoenixConnect" tab within the "Support Community" entitled "Learning Skills."

In each area, students can find academic information, tips, suggestions, resources, and websites to hone their skills. Overall, these are areas to ask questions concerning a variety of topics and discuss related content/topics/issues.

The Learning Skills Community is a forum in PhoenixConnect where students can ask questions and share tips about a number of skills that are essential for success at the University of Phoenix. Discussion topics in this community include Goal Setting, Stress and Time Management, Learning Styles, Study Habits, and much more. Students can quickly access this community by going to https://portal.phoenix.edu/social/community/support/learning_skills.

Students can also reach us in other ways:

- The Chat feature, a one-on-one service where we willl respond with a quick text message
- Inbox "meetings" they can have with us by contacting studentlabs@phoenix.edu
- One-on-one phone calls (S4SS = Support "for" Student Success).

The Student Support Team is here to help, so please let your students know of our services.
